Prison Advisers is dedicated to providing quality advice and representation to prisoners, their families and friends. It is our mission to ensure that justice is made available to everyone no matter what their circumstances may be.
Who are we?
We are not solicitors. We are a division of Advisers Limited. Not only are we quicker and cheaper than solicitors, we are fully trained and experienced legal advisers with full degree qualifications dealing in all aspects of prison law and the prison systems of the UK.
We all have problems from time to time. In prison all problems are made much worse because it is almost impossible to get access to competent help. Sometimes you would think that these problems need the help and advice of a trained solicitor but do you really think a solicitor knows what it is like to be stuck in prison, away from family, friends and help?
We do.
What makes our service different is that we rely not just on legal experience but on experience of prison itself. In 1996 Donald Pirie (the person who started this business) was struck off as a solicitor and in 2000 he was sentenced to a total of 5 1/2 years in custody. His conviction is currently the subject of an appeal to the European Court of Human Rights.

We know of no other advisers who can offer you advice based on such knowledge, experience and understanding.

Worst Headache
During his sentence Donald spent most of his time advising fellow prisoners to such an extent that senior prison management described him as 'the worst headache they had ever experienced'.
